San Antonio, Texas --- With Open Enrollment Period coming to a close on Jan. 15,

Health Collaborative's Pathways to Coverage Program will remain open throughout the weekend to continue enrolling community members into an affordable care act health plan.

Federally funded by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Pathways to Coverage's Navigator team provide free services at no cost to the consumer. They are not brokers and do not receive any commission at any point. Certified by the U.S. government, the navigators provide applicants with the guidance & education to make their own decision in choosing the best marketplace plan. Community members who find a plan through the Health Collaborative, can expect a few phone calls throughout the year. "We don't stop at Open Enrollment," said Program Director Anel Treviño. "We make sure our community members are using the plan they choose. Our team can answer questions you may have about your coverage, or even help you find a doctor that's in network." Open Enrollment Period (OEP) refers to the time period starting Nov 1. to Jan 15 where anybody can apply for an affordable care act plan in the government marketplace. After OEP, Special Enrollment Period (SEP) begins where only qualified applicants may be enrolled into a plan.

This year, due to the Inflation Reduction Act, 4 out of 5 applicants may qualify for a $10 / month or less quality health plan through financial aid. Millions are expected to pay less in 2023.
