Community Impact

Where you’ll find stories, series, and educational content in one place. We've got health coverage guidance, community event coverage and personal stories from our Navigators and CHWs showing how we're making a difference in South Texas.

In Your Language

At The Health Collaborative, speaking multiple languages helps us break down barriers and ensure everyone understands their health coverage options and resources. It builds trust, promotes equity, and ensures our diverse communities feel seen, respected, and supported

Community Voices

The stories of the people we serve. Whether it’s enrolling in health coverage, navigating complex systems, or pursuing new opportunities for themselves and their families, these voices highlight resilience and hope, showing how access to care and support can change lives.

Why We Do This Work

Our Navigators build trust, offer guidance, and stand beside the communities they serve. Learn about what drives them, the personal experiences that fuel their passion, and the connections they build along the way. Behind every application is someone who truly cares.

Now What?

This video series is designed to help community members understand what to do after enrolling in health coverage. Each short episode breaks down key next steps like when coverage starts, how to use your insurance card, what benefits you’re entitled to, and who to call for help.

Cinco de Mayo con Telemundo

We joined forces with Telemundo to show our cultural pride and celebrate Cinco de Mayo with the community! We’re proud to partner with organizations that help us meet people where they are and make access to health coverage easier for everyone.

Posada En El Barrio

A heartwarming holiday event hosted in partnership with the Mexican American Unity Council. This celebration brought the community together with toys for children, warm food, free vaccines, and valuable resources from local organizations.
